Senior Software Engineer The Object Scale team is looking for talented software developers with a passion for technology and innovative solutions to difficult engineering problems, who want to challenge and define state-of-the-art in distributed systems. We develop industry-leading distributed object solution capable of scaling to any capacity and connecting sites from edge to core, engineered for variety of workloads, including cloud-native apps, analytics, AI/ML, IoT and data lakes. Our next-generation object storage platform, ObjectScale, offers software-defined, microservice-oriented architecture, enabling organizations to deploy cloud-scale storage services with the reliability and control of a private cloud. What you’ll achieve As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build new and enhance existing capabilities of the scale-out object storage platform designed for both traditional and next-generation workloads with unmatched scalability, consistency guarantees, flexibility, and resiliency. You will:

• Feature design, development and sustaining activities for the Platform Network components of the Dell USS product line.
• Work in a global development environment across a broad range of teams in Dell Technologies.
• Network Architectural discussion with team members regarding HA systems design and best in class practices.

• Strong experience with networking protocols (Ethernet, Infiniband, TCP/IP, Fibre Channel). Exposure to Networking Tools like tcpdump, wireshark
• Strong experience with kernel and user programming for network devices
• Strong software development experience in languages such as C, C++ and Python.
• Experience working with Unix/Linux/BSD operating systems. Experience with Firewall and security technology.Experience with SCRUM/Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, etc.

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Unix shell, Python).
• Experience in design of complex product technologies and drive initiatives from concept through release.
