Job Description

A Software Sales Specialist identifies and engages new clients to understand their needs and sells software solutions through product demonstrations, pitches, and negotiations, while also managing client relationships and achieving sales targets. Key responsibilities include lead generation, building relationships, demonstrating product features, and closing deals, often requiring technical understanding, strong communication skills, and proficiency with CRM software.

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

Generating new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital tools to identify potential clients.

Client Needs Analysis:

Conducting discovery calls and meetings to understand a client's specific business challenges and how the software can provide a solution.

Product Presentations & Demonstrations:

Presenting software products, highlighting features, and providing detailed demonstrations to potential customers.

Sales Process Management:

Managing the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and discovery to proposal creation, contract negotiation, and closing sales.

Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support, and identifying opportunities for repeat business.

Collaboration:

Working with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to align strategies and ensure clients' needs are effectively met.

Sales Target Achievement:

Meeting or exceeding sales quotas and contributing to the overall growth of the company's software portfolio.
Essential Skills

Communication:

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to clearly convey complex technical information and build rapport with clients.

Technical Aptitude:

A strong understanding of software, technology, and how it can solve business problems.

Negotiation:

Strong skills in negotiating contracts and closing sales deals effectively.

CRM Proficiency:

Typical Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or marketing.

Experience:

Proven experience in software sales, IT sales, or a related field.

Technical Knowledge:
