A software sales executive is responsible for driving the sales of software products and solutions to businesses, building client relationships, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, tailored to their business needs.
Negotiate contracts, handle objections, and close sales to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and new software developments.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to align sales strategies and address customer requirements.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and client interactions.
Provide after-sales support and ensure client success with purchased software solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, IT, computer science, or related field is preferred.
Proven experience in software or technology sales, particularly in B2B environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of software products and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Proficiency with CRM tools and sales tracking systems.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
Experience selling SaaS solutions or knowledge of industry-specific software is a plus.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
