QA Engineer

with expertise in testing methodologies, SQL databases, and a strong understanding of finance, accounting, and capital markets. The ideal candidate should have experience in

financial applications testing, trade lifecycle, and data validation

Qualifications & Requirements

----------------------------------

3+ years of experience in software testing

, preferably in finance, banking, or capital markets. + Strong proficiency in

manual and automation testing

.
+ Excellent knowledge of

SQL queries

for financial data validation.
+ Experience with testing tools like

Selenium, JMeter, Postman, or similar

.
+ Understanding of

trade lifecycle, financial instruments, and accounting principles

.
+ Familiarity with

capital markets, stock trading, and investment platforms

.
+ Hands-on experience with

defect tracking tools

and Agile methodologies.
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience with

cloud-based financial applications (AWS, Azure, GCP)

.
+ Knowledge of

CI/CD pipelines and DevOps

.
+ Understanding of

regulatory compliance (SEBI, FINRA, IFRS, GAAP, etc.)

.
Scripting knowledge (Python, Java) for

test automation

.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain test cases for

financial applications

related to accounting, capital markets, and trading platforms. Perform

functional, regression, integration, and performance testing

for financial systems. Validate complex financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting using

SQL queries

. Work closely with

business analysts and developers

to understand financial workflows and ensure system accuracy. Automate test cases using tools like

Selenium, TestNG, or equivalent

. Conduct

API testing

for financial data integration and third-party services. Identify and report defects using

JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools

, ensuring timely resolution. Ensure compliance with

financial regulations and industry best practices

.
