Software Engineer-Technical Authoring

Responsibilities:

Research and analysis of Engineering data (3D CAD) Develop digital repair & maintenance methods Evaluate & develop repair concepts in EC (via Work-Step-Table "AST") Document repair methods in the database Derive Standard Times via MTM-Systematic (AW: repair time for workshops) Develop thorough understanding of the various carlines & engine types in MBC Co-ordinate with different departments for updates on the above Contribute to continuous improvement in the specified working area Research and analysis of Daimler AW-System based on MTM-Systematic Planning of the AW-System for new car-models in DC-Repa (Daimler AW-Tool)

Requisites:

+ Some experience in the field of Workshop/After Sales/technical documentation/ simulation/publication is helpful
+ Good knowledge on automotive components/systems and its functioning is must
+ Experience in repairs & maintenance of cars
+ Knowledge in Powertrain/ Vehicle Integration related to MBC
+ Experience in NX CAD
+ Experience in any Engineering Change Management system
+ Experience in any PLM software
+ Knowledge in computer programming & German language are added advantages
+ Knowhow of the key aftersales processes in the Daimler workshops is desired


Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
