Ecolab is looking for an experienced

Sr. Engineering Manager

to manage a team with diverse skillsets supporting Ecolab's GBS (Global Business Services) and Corporate Platforms organization. This team creates, implements, enhances and maintains multiple business applications including vendor hosted as well as Ecolab hosted solutions. These solutions support Ecolab GBS organizations around the world.

What You Will Do:



Drive technical excellence across multiple GBS solutions

Participate in technical design reviews to ensure high-quality platforms. Develop and implement plans to fill skillset gaps on the team and within the broader global organization Contribute to the technical roadmap by identifying gaps in our technical implementation and opportunities for improvement. Identify and cross-train technical solution members within the team to provide platform support coverage

Directly manage all work flowing through the team

Focus on timely delivery/issue resolution while ensuring quality, overseeing work through to acceptance by the originating team/requestor. Ensure that all work completed by the team undergoes thorough peer review, testing, and adheres to Ecolab best practices. Measure performance of the team through reporting of KPIs and other metrics Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights into team progress, delivery timelines, and individual professional goals. Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to communicate team metrics and progress effectively to stakeholders. Communicate clear expectations regarding work completion timelines, including prompt communication of any anticipated delays.

Grow talent and manage team composition

Conduct weekly 1:1s with core team members to support their professional development. Make recommendations regarding missing or inadequately staffed skill sets to optimize team capabilities. Hire, mentor, and grow passionate individuals who thrive in strong teams and facilitate the onboarding process for new members. Provide learning opportunities and guidance for team members.

Minimum Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, MIS) or equivalent work experience Minimum 5 years' experience in Information Technology Minimum 3 years' experience managing team of 5+ people Experience working with third-party support teams and vendors Able to act independently, seeking guidance and advice as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience with SAP integrated applications Experience with SaaS solutions Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL principals Experience with Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Record to Report or other global business services or shared services pillars Experience mentoring and professionally developing software engineers, with a focus on creating formal learning opportunities Adaptive to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks effectively Strong communication, interpersonal, and project leadership skills, with an ability to articulate and execute a philosophy for building effective, cohesive, and collaborative cross-functional teams Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day execution Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Knowledge of application concepts/make-up such as security, database, servers, networks and cloud & virtualization concepts
