Position Overview
We are looking for Full Stack/AI Manager with strong experience of LLM's and frameworks to develop GenAI solutions. Good understanding of Generative AI tools and strong programming skills are required as part of this role. Good to have full stack development expertise to evaluate new Large Language Models (LLMs) and make them available for the enterprise in a compliant and secure manner. The work you do will impact on millions of customers, members, and employers that rely on Cigna every day. Extreme focus on speed to market and getting Products and Services in the hands of customers and passion to transform healthcare is key to the success of this role.
Primary responsibilities are to build an AI Platform(s) leveraging the LLM's and other Gen AI Capabilities and provide design solutions for portal integrations, enhancement, and automation requests. The ideal candidate is a technologist that brings a fresh perspective and passion to solve complex functional and technical challenges in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities

• Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs), Open Source, Machine Learning, and numerical programming frameworks, to build transformative solutions.
• Understanding of AI Models, Large Language Models, and AI specialized infrastructure especially as it relates to AI trends and issues within businesses.
• Work with Product Development as a Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) subject matter expert and architect and develop scalable, resilient, ethical AI solutions.
• Work with AWS RDS (PostgreSQL) and Redis (or similar) for transactional and caching needs.
• Leverage GenAI tools (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI, Watsonx.ai) to automate development tasks such as code generation, test automation, and documentation.
• Participate in full-stack development, including frontend integration and backend services.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and post-deployment validations

Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills:

• 11 to 13 years of development experience.
• Previous experience as a Full Stack developer and strong programming skills.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java/Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with AWS services, especially EKS, RDS (PostgreSQL), Redis, and IAM.
• Proficiency in Kafka, Databricks, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience working with recommendation engines, data pipelines, or distributed machine learning.
• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• Possess a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience working within the healthcare industry is desirable.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools

Location & Hours of Work

• Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
• Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
