About our Team

We are a software engineering team within the Academic and Government division, which helps research institutions track and analyze their research data records.

About the Role

As a Software Engineering Lead, you will guide your team in crafting innovative features while also overseeing the maintenance of existing applications. You will partner with cross-functional technical teams to deliver successful projects in an Agile environment. You will take ownership of ensuring we implement high-quality exceptional software for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate as part of a tight-knit, agile, quality-focused team to design and deliver desired outcomes.
• Engage in all aspects of the development lifecycle, apply best practices and create good quality software ensuring compliance with company standards for accessibility, security and privacy protection
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the technical solution and implement changes alongside business requirements.
• Leading and motivating team members to meet performance goals.
• Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Requirements:

Overall Work Experience: 7+ Years

• 7-10 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Profound knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Deep hands on expertise with Java, Spring, Spring boot, Micro services, Distributed systems and databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Display experience of software engineering design principles and architecture (i.e. microservices, API-first, event-driven architectures, design patterns)
• Demonstrate experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks especially React.
• Solid experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Attention to detail and the ability to empathize with customers\' needs.
• A collaborative mindset, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand complex product requirements and translate them into effective software designs.
• A willingness to engage and communicate effectively with colleagues across various teams.
