Software Engineering Lead Analyst - DevOps


Position Summary:


Evernorth, a leading Health Services company, is seeking a skilled Cloud and DevOps Engineer to join our Data & Analytics organization. In this role, you will be part of the team implementing AtScale as a platform for the semantic layer. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will leverage tools, practices, and methodologies to ensure the efficient, reliable, and scalable delivery of software infrastructure.


& Responsibilities:

Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services to design and implement robust cloud infrastructure. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments. CI/CD Tools and Source Control: Work with CI/CD tools and source control systems such as Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub to streamline development and deployment processes. Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions, including Docker and Kubernetes, to enhance application scalability and reliability. Optimize Cloud Resources: Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management while ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security. Agile Framework: Operate within an Agile framework, participating in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, PI Planning, and Retrospectives. Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to streamline deployment processes and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications


Required Experience & Skills:

5 to 8 years of overall Engineering experience. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform. Hands-on programming experience using relevant languages like Python, Bash. Experience with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible. 3-5 years of experience with AWS services (e.g., EKS, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, CloudFront) Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace) Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes). Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

AWS certifications (e.g. DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, ELK stack) Knowledge of database administration and optimization. Familiarity with AI/ML deployment workflows. Experience with databases like postgress.

Location & Hours of Work

Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
