The individual selected for this position will be part of an Application Development team in APAC. He or she will be a key member of a team in Mumbai.

This individual will have the responsibilities in setting the visions of the application together with the global team and takes part in modernizing our end-to-end software. In addition, he or she will be developing features and provide day-to-day support to the business and its front-to-back offices all over the world in production environments.

Required Skills

• Understanding of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets.
• Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices.
• Experience in building real time processing systems.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages / frameworks

• Java/ J2EE
• Springboot / Spring
• RDBMS (Sybase/SQL Server) / Mongo
• Unix / Shell / Perl / Python scripting
• Understanding Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
• Understanding existing program logic (Stored Procedures, Java)

• Experience in working in Eclipse/IntelliJ / Maven environments.
• Expertise in Core Java, TDD, BDD, spring framework, Messaging, SQL, Unix shell scripts.
• Hand's on experience in fine tuning application response / performance testing.
• Experience of MQ / JMS (message transfer process), Kafka.
• Experience using version control tool bitbucket.
• Understanding of banking risk and compliance policies.

Pluses

• Experience in Settlement and Clearing applications.
• Familiarity with SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) Message formats.
• General Accounting/Settlement Knowledge
• Money Market and Fixed Income Instruments
