Job Description

:

The role sought is for a Java Application development lead at the Bangalore - Corporate Center. The Bangalore team works with close coordination with larger Global Application Development team based in North America.

• As a Lead developer you will participate in application design and development.
• Participate in design and code reviews, incorporate security requirements into design, and provide input to information/data flow.
• Comply with project life cycle methodology and adhere to IT control policies and guidelines.
• Incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications.
• Identify applicable system platform, components, dependencies, document application specifications.
• Analyze team members performance, mentor them and manage conflicting situations that may crop up in team
• Provide uniform integration into legacy systems.
• Analyze performance issues and resolution recommendations

The individual will need to be very flexible with ability to react quickly to changing business needs.

Qualifications

• 8-13 years of overall IT Experience

Core Skills:

• Professional experience working in an agile, dynamic and customer facing environment
• At least 8 years of recent hands-on professional experience (actively coding) working as a back-end software engineer
• Extensive experience with using JVM language (Java 8+)
• Understanding of distributed systems and cloud technologies (AWS.)
• Understanding of dependency injection frameworks (Spring / SpringBoot, etc.)
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• understanding of distributed tracing and monitoring (Zipkin, OpenTracing, Prometheus, ELK stack, Micrometer metrics, etc.)
• understanding of messaging frameworks (Kafka)
• Experience in distributed systems design and architecture
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies
• Understanding of relational databases
• experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Able to complete end-to-end functionality.
• Desired - Knowledge of UI framework like React.
• Experience in the all stages of software development lifecycle (requirements, design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, release and support)
• Desired - experience in automating deployment, releases and testing in continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines
• Desired - AWS Certification
• A solid approach to writing unit level tests using mocking frameworks, as well as creating automated quality component, integration, end-to-end and performance tests
