We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer. In this role, you will:

  • working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a product or service in a pod within a Technology team.
  • ensures code review, unit testing, regression testing and post deployment verification steps are correctly followed and well documented.
  • bring more Innovation – Identify opportunities within the system and introduce automation wherever possible.
  • responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end-to-end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge
  • working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change.
  • enforce process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as: disciplined agile software delivery
  • liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service's direction

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Should have at least 1+ years of total experience.
  • Technical / hands-on experience in Python, Spark, Google Cloud Platform, SQL is mandatory.
  • Big Data knowledge is certainly an added advantage.
  • Should have experience in Job scheduling tools like Control-M.
  • Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) knowledge is certainly an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile ways of working, Automation and DevOps practices.
  • Good to have - Anti-money Laundering (AML) / Compliance Domain experience.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
