The Role We often find ourselves playing cat and mouse games with pirates who are at the forefront of web technologies. For that, our cross-functional team runs a distributed application architecture with autonomous and user driven applications alike dealing with various kind of infringing content.

What we do and how? The roles in our team are flexible and the result of negotiation. For you that means we can carve out a role based on your abilities and interests.
The technologies we currently use are:

• Go, Python, Django, React/Typescript/RxJS, Node.Js, C#
• Kubernetes and cloud-native apps in Google Cloud Platform
• Version control and CI/CD with Github
• Postgres, MongoDB, Clickhouse

Further in the future we will likely be working additionally with C# and AWS. Besides that, we are constantly on the lookout for technology helping us to solve problems.

Essential We expect you to work with the technical lead and other engineers on the team to create, maintain, and test scrapers for our web scraping framework.
You should:

• Have experience writing applications using Python or another object-oriented language
• Have some experience in web scraper development, web crawling strategies, and popular web automation frameworks and libraries (Selenium, Puppeteer, Playwright, etc.)
• Have knowledge of how to traverse the Document Object Model (DOM) using XPath, CSS selectors, regular expressions (Regex), and/or JSON path expressions
• Have a sharp, logical, observant, and inquisitive mind with an appetite for learning new technologies
• Possess good communication and collaboration skills with other engineers and business stakeholder
