Job description The ideal candidate will play a key role on a next generation Service Provider Network Automation Infrastructure team, as a Software Engineer, working in a start-up like fast paced environment, developing Cisco\'s Software Defined Networking Infrastructure Software/Solution with high scalability, performance, willingness/extensibility and quality. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to get along with various development teams across Cisco and drive the design & development of features from concepts to reality. Additional responsibilities include defining API\'s, working on code reviews, code merges, static analysis etc. Innovation, thinking creatively and challenging the status quo are advantageous. Roles & Responsibilities The candidate should have proven hands-on experience developing software following an Agile DevOps methodology with Continuous Integration / Deployment. The India team is growing and so the work is fast-paced and this profile expects to wear switch and wear multiple caps. There might be situations individual might have to deep down into network devices to tackle issues. Personal Characteristics: Strong Technical Skills, excellent teammate, excellent verbal and written communications skills, customer and quality focused experience, able to drive solution from product requirements, self-motivated with a \'can-do\' demeanor and the ability to meet or beat schedule requirements with good track records. Minimum Qualifications BS EE/CS combined with 3 - 5 years related experience. Must have in-depth working experience with Java/J2EE and REST / JAX-RS Web Services using JSON. Design, build & support customer facing UI using Angular 2/4/8 Familiar with testing frameworks (Jasmine) Hands on and implements complex Angular applications, directives, controllers, services Good to have working knowledge of Go and/or Python, and exposed to any automation work. An Authority coder and complete go-getter who can pick up new technologies with ease, loves troubleshooting and crafting sophisticated systems. Experience with Multithreaded systems and Object-Oriented design. Must have strong working experience with Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate along with Unit Test (JUnit classes, etc.). Hands on with Unix/Linux platform Experience working with databases such as Time series database, PostgreSQL and any NoSQL database. Experience working with CICD tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins and Gerrit. Desired Skills Experience working with Microservices based applications, Docker containers, Kubernetes cluster is helpful. Familiarity with Networking concepts. Experience with designing for massively scalable and distributed systems. . Good knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka
