Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team, specializing in building and maintaining native integrations for our SaaS-based application. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Laravel and RDS MySQL, with a proven track record of developing robust, scalable, and secure integrations to enhance our platform's functionality and interoperability with third-party systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain native integrations for our SaaS platform, connecting with external APIs, services, and tools to streamline workflows. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define integration requirements and technical specifications. Build and optimize backend services using Laravel to support seamless data exchange and integration workflows. Manage and query relational databases using RDS MySQL to ensure data integrity and performance for integrations. Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, API tokens) for third-party integrations. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance, ensuring reliability and scalability. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high-quality deliverables. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to propose improvements to integration strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on building integrations for SaaS applications. Strong proficiency in

Laravel

framework, including Eloquent ORM, Blade templating, and Laravel's ecosystem (e.g., Laravel Passport, Queue). Hands-on experience with

RDS MySQL

for designing, querying, and optimizing relational databases. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and third-party integration protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JSON, XML). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS (RDS, EC2, S3), and its integration with SaaS applications. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex integration issues. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems (e.g., using Laravel Event Broadcasting or message queues like RabbitMQ). Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia) and monitoring solutions (e.g., New Relic, AWS CloudWatch). Understanding of security best practices for SaaS integrations, including data encryption and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
