Software Engineer - Vendavo EPP


As a Senior Software Engineer on the Vendavo Enterprise Price Point (EPP) team, you will contribute to the design and development of scalable, high-performance pricing solutions used by global enterprises. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, enhance system capabilities, and drive technical excellence across the product lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to influence architecture, improve development practices, and help shape the future of a core Vendavo product.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Overcome technical challenges and drive innovation in both new and mature products. Analyze requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and propose scalable, effective solutions. Design and develop new functionality across backend and frontend components. Take ownership of components across the full lifecycle: implementation, testing, deployment, and operations. Build and maintain modern, well-tested services with frequent release cycles. Investigate and resolve root causes of technical issues and system failures. Mentor team members and support a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate daily with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across the business. Influence architectural decisions and introduce fresh ideas and technical strategies. Evaluate and select tools, frameworks, and libraries to enhance development efficiency. Communicate effectively in English in a distributed, collaborative environment.

THE SKILL SET

Strong Java/JavaEE coding and development skills Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities Familiarity with distributed version control systems (preferably Git) Experience with Groovy, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Web Proficient in relational databases (Oracle and PostgreSQL) 2-4 years of progressive software development experience Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Spock, JBehave) Skilled in JVM performance tuning, memory leak detection, and optimizing bottlenecks Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GOCD or Azure Pipelines Experience with Docker and Gradle Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) Advantage: Experience with frontend technologies (JavaScript, React, NodeJS, HTML, CSS) * Advantage: Experience with ClickHouse
