Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer position at MindWise Technologies. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and JPA Implement microservices architecture and ensure code quality through TDD (JUnit, Mockito) Manage CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift Configure and maintain infrastructure and monitoring tools on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to ensure high availability and scalability Optimize performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure secure application deployments Maintain version control and project tracking using Git and JIRA Follow best practices for design patterns, testing, and documentation

Required Skills

3+ years of experience in backend development and DevOps Strong proficiency in Java (17+), Spring Boot, JPA, and REST APIs Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch) Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD pipelines Strong SQL skills with databases like PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server Hands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito, and TDD principles Proficient with Git, JIRA, and agile development practices Excellent understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns Strong verbal and written communication skills Education: BE/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Certification: AWS Certified (Developer / SysOps / Solutions Architect)*

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Exposure to frontend frameworks such as Angular 13, TypeScript, or Jest Experience managing scalable microservices architectures Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform / CloudFormation)

Pay: ?800,000.00 - ?1,400,000.00 per year
