Your role
Do you want to design and build next generation of developer platforms on the cloud using existing and emerging technologies? Are you confident at iteratively refining user requirements and writing code to deliver results? Do you like to be challenged and encouraged to learn and grow professionally?
We're looking for a Software Engineer to:

• build solutions for developers so they have the right tooling and compute at their disposal
• design, write and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages such as Typescript and Go
• provide technology solutions and automation that will solve business application problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• write and create applications and platform delivery requirements for the entire IT organization
• conduct code reviews and test your code as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production

Your team
You'll be working in the DevCloud team. We provide developers with the right tooling and environment to write code and engineer solutions at UBS. As a DevCloud Engineer, you'll play a key role building and maintaining infrastructure supporting development activities of developers, quants, and other employees all over the world.
Your expertise

• looking for 7 to 12 yrs of experience with strong programming experience in Javascript / Typescript
• possess breath of exposure in front end gigs such as React/Node JS, have experience in building APIs, and Server Side work
• some experience working with Linux containers & Kubernetes and are familiar with TCP/IP & networking concepts, possess strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
• understand of microservice architecture and have experience building RESTful Service, you have a strong bias for automation and have some hands-on experience with Terraform
• understand of the importance metrics and alerting. Experience with modern monitoring tools (InfluxDB/Prometheus/Datadog/Grafana etc.) is a plus.
• you are familiar with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment and have some experience using and building pipelines in GitLab, ADO, or other
• bachelors degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• experience working in teams practicing agile methodologies and ability to work independently, highly organized and able to work in a quickly changing and fast paced environment
