As an API Engineer within Avalara\'s Content Engineering Department, you will be an integral part of our high-performing team, meticulously dedicated to implementing cutting-edge streaming architecture. This architecture is instrumental in enabling event-driven publishing and the creation of content hub APIs, ensuring seamless integration across numerous downstream applications.

This position is ideally suited for individuals who are passionate about crafting solutions utilizing best technologies. Our goal is to efficiently uncover and organize high-quality content at scale, reducing the need for manual intervention and expediting content delivery to our valued customers.
Responsibilities

• Be a part of scrum team and achieve team goals
• Independent contribution on designing and implementing API end points, backend workflows under limited guidance
• Performing unit testing - Manual and automated for user stories
• Performing meaningful peer code reviews
• Work with India and US stake holders during various scrum ceremonies
• Take ownership and deliver the user stories in a timely manner
• Be a part of team\'s quarterly team planning sessions

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in developing scalable API
• Excellent programming skills in C#/ Python
• 3+ years of experiencing in different database technologies such as relational and no SQL
• 2+ years of experience working on CI/CD utilizing technologies like Terraform, kubernetes services
• Experience and expertise in Service oriented architecture, component/framework design.
• Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback
• 3+ years experience developing automated unit tests, API tests, performance and regression test suites using various technologies such as JUnit, Rest Assured, JMeter etc.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
