We're looking for a Software Engineer experienced in Java to:

• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues , help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
• provide ownership and support of applications by owning investigation and resolution of L3 Prod Support activities, maintenance, technology upgrades, and compliance to enterprise requirements

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You'll be working in the Financing team in Pune (India), focusing on the Locates product. You're part of the Pre-Trading & Trading Crew, a global team supporting Securities Lending and Swap Traders. Our mission is to reimagine our trading environment to streamline, scale and support our Securities Financing and Trading businesses.

Your expertise

• bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• proven track record with java development (atleast 5 years)
• solid experience with spring framework, sql databases, unix and shell scripting
• ideally 5-8 years of experience in a similar position focused on securities lending within the finance sector
• interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• solid experience in kafka / streaming preferred
• functional programming / big data / cloud (aws/azure) experience a big plus
• strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
