The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, Developing, Test, and Deploying the complex software functionality.
• Create/Update required documentation to support the release \xe2\x80\x93 Tech Spec Updates, Test Results, Deployment Templates, etc.
• Accountability for system and technology analysis and design for asset deployments.
• Accountability for system deployment, installation, and integration with external systems.
• Migration of the legacy applications to the latest Tech stack.
• Troubleshooting of system issues (hardware and software)
• Providing technical consultancy for the development and deployment project.
• Working closely with Product managers, workflow consultants, site engineers, and the engineering projects teams to deploy and embed technology.
• Participating in new release quality assurance and testing activities
• Maintaining documentation related to installation and support.
• Facilitate the provision of Consultant support during failure analysis and problem-solving.
• Resolve specific system problems and identify/propose improvements.
• Adhering to applicable Shell code development and code management standards
• Comply with Information Risk Management (IRM) standards and procedures
• Developing high-quality design specifications for enhancements / new functionality.
• Able to articulate and work to realistic deadlines and timelines.
• Actively applies feedback received from day-to-day work and continually strives to improve performance.
• Understand the professional development process and become actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning.

Skills & Requirements:

• Typical Years of Experience: 5+ years of Software development work experience.
• Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree related to Software Engineering, Preferably Chemical Engineering with Software development experience.
• Proficiency in .NET Development with .NET Core 3.1 or later, C#, WPF, Telerik, Web API, C++.
• Strong object-oriented programming (OOPS) design skills and proficiency in software design patterns.
• Good to have hands-on experience with MVC/MVVM, and micro services design patterns.
• Knowledge of best practices for the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code refactoring, code reviews, source control, build and deployment, and testing.
• Experienced in working in agile development and a Self-managed environment.
• Debugging and Unit-testing of the code.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD & source control technologies and standards, such as Git, Azure DevOps, branching strategies, and code release management.
• Good to have knowledge on Process engineering domain and hands on experience with scientific computing applications.
