Job overview

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data ingestion pipelines (feeds and processors). You will take full ownership of the quality, performance, and reliability of our code and services, ensuring they meet business requirements. Additionally, you will develop automation utilities to streamline development and verification workflows, conduct thorough code reviews to uphold best practices, and mentor team members by sharing your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and enhance Zema's feeds and processors. Develop automation tools and utilities to improve team productivity and framework capabilities. Participate in rigorous code reviews to ensure maintainability, performance, and scalability. Mentor and onboard new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ownership. Adhere to Scrum methodologies and actively contribute to agile ceremonies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions. Troubleshoot data issues and provide timely fixes and deployments for production incidents.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must-Have

Strong proficiency in Java

and SQL. Experience with relational databases such

as Oracle or MySQL

.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

1-3 years of professional software development experience

building and scaling backend applications.

Nice to have

Proven ability to build reliable, high-performance software. Intermediate knowledge of Git/SVN and version control best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical and business trade-offs. Intermediate knowledge of Git/SVN and version control best practices. Familiarity with handling multiple data formats (JSON, CSV, PDF, Excel, etc.). Exposure to ETL processes.
