Software Engineer (Lead QDI) - Python + SQL Coding - Consulting & Analytics firm - 3+ Years - Chennai
A high-impact opportunity for a Lead/Senior Quant - QDI with strong software engineering expertise, deep understanding of asset management workflows, and hands-on experience in SQL and Python coding.
Location: Chennai (Hybrid)

Responsibilities: * Designing, developing, and maintaining quantitative models, tools, and analytics supporting fixed-income and asset management workflows.

• Building and optimizing data pipelines using SQL & Python for large-scale financial datasets.
• Conducting financial modelling, quantitative analysis, and ratio-based evaluations for fixed income portfolios.
• Integrating ESG frameworks into analytical tools and generating quant-driven insights and outputs.
• Supporting investment teams by automating reports, dashboards, and analytical workflows for recurring and ad-hoc fixed income meetings.

Requirements: * 2-8 years of experience with a strong software engineering/computer science background and asset management workflow exposure.

• Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, financial modelling, and fixed-income research.
• 3-5 years of industry/issuer research experience; emerging markets preferred.
• Strong financial analysis skills and familiarity with ESG frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, strong proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint; Bloomberg experience is a plus.
• Flexibility to align working hours with the Singapore team; MBA/CA/CFA preferred.
