Software Engineer


This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition:


Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Management Level Definition:


Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

What you'll do:

Primary Responsibilities:

Bring UI mockups to life using JavaScript and React Build and maintain reusable and responsive components Resolve UI bugs, make improvements, and maintain the codebase Thrive in an Agile environment to deliver fast-paced features

What you need to bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/MS in computer science with proven experience of 2+ years in the UI field Love to develop frontend user interface and care about user experience Proficient in collaboration and communication skills Are comfortable working independently or within a small team Have a deep understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS Are familiar with web application frameworks such as Node and React Experienced with development tools such as GIT and JIRA Understand good UI design, but prefer to stay heads down in the code Are eager to learn and use new technologies and libraries

Preferred Qualifications:

Domain knowledge in the Networking space
