Sabre is looking for a Software Developer to support the Host Services group in Bangalore, India.

JOB ROLE

• Designing, building, and improving zTPF applications (strong C knowledge preferred) and Java (including cloud environments or Amazon Web Services).
• Assist with processing Sabre Data Source (SDS) administrator request to create Message Definition Records (MDR) for project testing.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of software revision control systems such as Concurrent Versions System (CVS).
• Research dump trends on the Sabre production system.
• Take corrective action independently and/or escalates when appropriate to ensure functional issues are resolved in the development environment.
• Coordinate adoption of technology standards related to runtime infrastructure.
• Drive operational design for runtime, especially the integration of software with hardware infrastructure.
• Formulate and drive best practices around runtime design.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Resolves software issues and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Demonstrates full requirements of the functional area, exercises judgment within defined practices to determine appropriate action.
• Applies fundamental skills, concepts, practices and procedures to complete moderate to difficult assignments, refers more complex issues to higher levels.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:

• zTPF, Java, and Linux (preferably RedHat)
• At least 3 years of hands on zTPF experience
• At least 3 years of Java development experience
• At least 3 year' experience working in an environment with CMS and multiple virtual partitions (VM)
• Familiarity with Java Development environments (Eclipse, IntelliJ) and Java application frameworks (Spring, Springboot, etc.)
• Scripting Preference: Bash, Perl, Python, Groovy, JavaScript, and SQL
• Debugging, troubleshooting and system optimization skills preferred
• Experience working with Linux development tools such as maven, git, and Jenkins
• Problem solving and good communication skills
• Minimum 3 years related experience
• Work effectively in a global team environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
