As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking of Chase Travel Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm\'s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Create dynamic user interfaces/Components with JS frameworks like React, Angular, Lit Element or Backbone.
  • Write/Update UI / logical test cases as per the business and product requirements.
  • Integrate with third-party systems and providers by consuming web services and collaborate with back-end developers to design APIs and service interfaces.
  • Write clean, well-organized code following industry standard coding.
  • Use development tools like Webpack, Version Controls (Git, Bit, TFS) etc\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Implement and work with Web Accessibility and Globalization/Internationalization.
  • Create documentation around processes including front-end design and service architecture
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Must have working experience in developing web applications using Angular
  • Must have working experience in developing web applications using state management framework like Redux, Flux.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions, provide necessary thought leadership to the team members.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Expert knowledge of front-end development technologies, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap & SASS, Google Analytics.
  • Experience in building responsive applications with frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation Code Quality Tools, like LINT, SonarQube etc.
  • TDD Implementation using Jasmine, Karma, Jest etc.
  • Build Tools, like Grunt, Gulp, Webpack (minimum one).
  • Conceptual knowledge of server-side JS like NodeJS and database system, like Mongo.
  • Web Services integration, using AJAX, knowledge of concepts like REST
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Knowledge of Web Accessibility.
  • Experience in developing Web components and Custom Elements.
  • Experience working in multi-lingual site using Internationalization/Globalization.
  • Experience in integrating front-end layer with backend middleware and platforms, such as ASP.NET, .NET Core, Java.
  • Experience working in a CMS like infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of CI-CD Process.
