As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking- JP wealth management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, designs, develops, and troubleshoots technical issues, applying innovative thinking to build solutions and break down complex problems. Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems. Utilizes Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks to deliver robust applications. Builds REST and SOAP web services using Java, ensuring scalability and reliability at internet scale. Leverages Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to deploy and manage applications efficiently. Implements unit testing with JUnit and mock testing using Mockito to ensure code quality and reliability.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Design and implement systems, applications, and testing processes to ensure operational stability through hands-on practical experience. Code proficiently in multiple programming languages, leveraging Java fullstack expertise to deliver robust solutions. Develop, debug, and maintain code within large corporate environments using modern programming languages and database querying languages. Utilize build tools such as Maven and Gradle to streamline development and deployment workflows. Build messaging and event-driven architectures to support scalable and responsive applications. Work with multiple database platforms, including RDBMS and NoSQL, to optimize data storage and retrieval. Apply strong skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and JSON to create dynamic and interactive web interfaces.
