CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer III opening for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months
Overview:
The Software Engineer III provides technical leadership and hands-on development for complex applications. This role designs and delivers innovative solutions, guides less experienced team members, and ensures systems meet business and technical requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead design, development, and deployment of complex applications.
Serve as technical lead and mentor for junior engineers.
Develop specifications, system documentation, and test plans.
Coordinate development tasks and ensure project milestones are met.
Evaluate system dependencies and recommend improvements.
Research and implement new technologies and best practices.
Maintain expertise in supported applications, frameworks, and environments.
Ensure compliance with organizational risk and regulatory standards.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Independently manages high-level system analysis, design, and development. Leads projects, supervises staff, and collaborates with senior management, clients, and vendors on technical initiatives.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Provides mentorship, technical guidance, and performance feedback to junior engineers.
Education and Experience Required:
Associate degree with 6+ years of systems analysis/application development experience, or 8+ years combined education and experience.
Strong experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, IRE, Service Mapping, Data Certification, and architecture across HAM, SAM, EA, CSDM portfolios.
Solid software engineering background with adaptability to new frameworks.
Proficiency in development tools, platforms, and project management software.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to lead projects and deliver high-quality solutions.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Expertise in enterprise application frameworks and integrations.
Experience with large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Advanced knowledge of supported systems beyond standard BAU functions.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $53.20 to $88.65. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
