SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Software Engineer II will contribute to the development and enhancement of our products, features and engineering practices. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can write clean, reliable code and collaborate effectively with team members. You will participate in end-to-end development, support technical implementation and help build scalable and high-performing solutions under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.

Remote / Hybrid - Chennai, Tamil Nadu


Finalsite is a global company and to enable strong collaboration, we have established common core working hours. Candidates should be comfortable working from 11:00-20:00 IST, with core working hours being 18:00-20:00 IST

Essential Functions

Technical Mastery:

Assist in developing and maintaining applications using C# and .NET (Framework 4.5+, MVC, and .NET Core). Contribute to building Web APIs and backend components as directed. Write clean, readable, and testable code while following established coding standards.

Cloud & Database Exposure

Work closely with senior engineers to understand system architecture, development workflows, and best practices. Gain exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Good understanding of SQL databases and basic NoSQL concepts.

Frontend Support

Assist with UI development using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS where required. Collaborate with team members to support full-stack features.

Quality & Collaboration

Help with debugging, testing, and documenting features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Product, and Design. Follow sprint processes and deliver tasks with guidance from senior team members.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum hands off experience should be

3-4+ yrs

Proficient in

C#

with strong knowledge of .NET Framework 4.5+ and

ASP.NET MVC

. Solid exposure to .NET Core development. Hands-on experience with

Web APIs, WCF Services

and

Windows Services

(preferably Web API). Strong working knowledge of

SQL databases

and familiarity with NoSQL technologies. Strong knowledge in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
