As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking division, you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering the software components of the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you will execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of various components within a technical product, application, or system, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary to advance in your role.

Job responsibilities

Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Experience in designing and implementing iOS applications using Swift UI Experience working with API integration Experience in iOS Frameworks like Foundation, UIKit, CocoaTouch, and Core Data. Experience in using Xcode-provided tools like Debug Memory Graph, Debug View Hierarchy, Instruments for Profiling Experience with One or more Design Patterns - MVC, MVVM, MVP, Singleton Working knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control Created an application that is available in Apple's AppStore Proficiency with Mac OS X, GNU tools, and scripting languages Understanding of build systems CI/CD (Jenkins) Experience with Unit Testing frameworks and Code coverage tools for Swift

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Exposure to cloud technologies Experience with Android preferred
