Our Partner (JHT), is one of the largest fitness equipment manufacturers in the world. The company manufactures a wide assortment of fitness equipment for both commercial and residential use, including treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes and strength training equipment.


Our Partner North America, headquarters is based in Cottage Grove, WI. Taiwan, with global product development, marketing and engineering based in Cottage Grove, Wis.


The

Software Engineer II

you will be involved in the development of software for fitness consoles with global R&D teams. You will participate in writing code for UI, machine control, and Unit and Instrumentation Tests. You will develop clear requirements, improve software quality, and help maintain industry-standard software practices and must have a strong capability to anticipate and resolve engineering development challenges early and effectively.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop applications using modern web development stacks and upgrade constantly. Design, develop and document softwares for design and testing. You will also participate in Software prototyping. Will implement scalable applications that meet business requirements and can be distributed globally. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Participate in the technical design of new applications and make sure the documentation requirements are met. Be a self-managing, full participant in cross-functional agile teams: define tasks and assignments and complete them by committed dates and timelines and help teammates do the same. Should incrementally deliver applications as part of an Agile software development team.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

A minimum of strong 3 years of experience in

Java

and

Kotlin

. Should have 3 years of experience in UI-based application development in

Android Studio

. Experience in

JavaScript

and

APIs

is mandatory Hands-on experience with built-in and integration unit testing. Experience writing or editing technical documentation. Experience in project sustaining or inheritance. Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field.

Clear communicator (written and verbal) - to ensure understanding of requirements Strong software engineering and general problem-solving skills. Should have good judgement and decision making skills; responsible and motivated; passionate about learning new things.
