Job Summary As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you are part of consumer & Community Banking, Cards Techteam that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm\'s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. JobResponsibilities Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java/Spring to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality Build Microservices that will run on the bank\'s internal cloud and the public cloud platform Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team Handle critical and time sensitive concurrent tasks with supervision and properly escalate situations as appropriate Write test cases, leverage unit and integration testing, develop functionality and automation Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or related field 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microservices, Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Cloud, Kafka, Cassandra & Web Services Working knowledge of middleware applications with re-usable API/Services Strong understanding of the infrastructure, applications, hardware and software environment Exposure to test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber or equivalent Experience in Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, query designing and query optimization is preferred J2EE or Cloud certifications preferred Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Exposure to cloud technologies
