Job Summary

As a Software Engineer II in the Engineering & Architect team of Corporate & Investment Bank at JPMorgan Chase, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm\'s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

\xe2\x80\x8bJob Responsibilities\xe2\x80\x8b

• Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java or Python and JavaScript to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams\xe2\x80\x8b
• Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality\xe2\x80\x8b. Build Microservices that will run on the bank\'s internal cloud and the public cloud platform\xe2\x80\x8b
• Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones\xe2\x80\x8b
• Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team\xe2\x80\x8b
• Handle critical and time sensitive concurrent tasks with supervision and properly escalate situations as appropriate\xe2\x80\x8b
• Write test cases, leverage unit and integration testing, develop functionality and automation\xe2\x80\x8b
• Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, to improve delivery flow across product and technology\xe2\x80\x8b

\xe2\x80\x8bRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 2+ years of hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability\xe2\x80\x8b
• Experience in developing, debugging and maintaining code in an enterprise environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages\xe2\x80\x8b
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies\xe2\x80\x8b
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle\xe2\x80\x8b
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency and Security\xe2\x80\x8b

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
