CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months
Overview:
Looking for an experienced Software Engineer II skilled in Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, SQL, WireMock, and RESTful API development. This role supports new and existing applications, provides technical direction, and contributes to complex projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance complex applications and APIs.
Serve as a key contributor on major projects; mentor junior developers.
Coordinate development tasks and manage technical project components.
Collaborate across teams from analysis through UAT.
Create and execute test plans; debug and troubleshoot issues.
Analyze system interactions and recommend improvements.
Produce clear technical documentation and project estimates.
Maintain efficient application operations and support.
Evaluate new tools, technologies, and vendor software.
Follow development standards and best practices.
Identify and escalate risk issues; support audit and regulatory needs.
Contribute to special projects and cross-team initiatives.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Works independently on advanced development tasks.
May lead small to large project activities.
Engages directly with senior leadership, business teams, and vendors.
Supports management and participates in committees or technical groups.
Education and Experience Required:
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Spring WebFlux, WireMock.
Associate degree + 5 years' development experience OR 7 years combined education/work experience (5 in development).
Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex efforts simultaneously.
Experience coordinating across technical and business teams.
Proven ability to recommend and implement system solutions.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of the organization's application framework.
Subject matter expertise in supported systems or business areas.
Advanced understanding of integrated applications.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively; strong multitasking; proactive approach.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $44.99 - $74.98/hour. Salary offers consider skills, experience, training, education, market factors, and applicable certifications. A competitive benefits package is also offered. About Us:
