As a Software Engineer II - Full stack C# Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering the software components of the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As an emerging member of the software engineering team, you will execute software solutions by designing, developing, and technically troubleshooting various components within a technical product, application, or system, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary to advance in your role.

Job responsibilities

Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Experience within .NET technologies - C# / .NET 8, LINQ and ReactJS with Typescript. Strong implementation skills for developing .NET application across front-end (WPF/WinForms), back-end and cloud Experience with multi-threading using Async-Await / TPL pattern. Proficiency in SQL Server with ORM (Entity Framework/NHibernate), familiarity with MSBuild Strong knowledge of Typescript/Javascript with ES6, Redux, Webpack/Vite Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput asynchronous messaging (e.g. Tibco, AMPS, Kafka) Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Exposure to cloud technologies AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or AWS Certified Developer, or other relevant AWS certifications Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices Experience with Investment Banking - Fixed Income domain will be an advantage
