It includes applications for low latency trading, high frequency trading, sponsored access flow, algorithmic trading, applications for client and instrument reference data management and post trade reporting. This experienced individual has a proven track record of developing quality software and trading strategies in a world class financial services organization. Quantitative Trading is one of the main driving forces in today's Equity Markets. Providing clients with superior order execution while minimizing their market impact and risk exposure, trading strategies and smart order routing is a rapidly expanding field. These platforms are driven by quantitative analytics, real time market data, historical tick data, market signal events, and statistical analysis. The equities Global Trading Technology organization is responsible for developing, supporting, and delivering these state-of-the-art trading solutions to end-users including internal trading desks as well as our external customers. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to be a part of agile, highly professional team delivering client-facing, high-availability low-latency trading algorithms and related technology. This person is responsible for developing and supporting the products and will report to the technical lead.

Responsibilities

Developing solutions both tactical and strategic problems to meet business requirements Producing code that is appropriate for a low-latency java platform Understanding requirements and helping the team to deliver high quality solutions Providing estimates for tasks, including design, development, technical debt, and testing Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions Developing automated testing tools to exercise functionality, performance, and capacity of code Work closely with Quants on implementation of trading algorithms, models, and analytical signals. Work with Product and Sales teams on client requests and algo customizations. Develop innovative solutions in a strategic, pragmatic way. Succeed in a collaborative development environment. Be curious and inquisitive around industry trends and strive for continuous improvement.

Foundation Skills

software development experience using Java Experience in a front office trading environment Experience with asynchronous and event-driven programming, developing real-time applications, building distributed systems Knowledge of networks and topologies Firm grounding of common algorithms Familiar working with LINUX environments Strong writing and verbal communication skills Solid understanding of software development fundamentals including data structures, design patterns and object-orientated programming Proficiency in core Java with demonstrable success in developing multi-threaded applications Proven ability to develop clean, testable code Understanding of relational database concepts and knowledge in SQL Experience with Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Gradle and CI/CD tools, e.g. TeamCity and Jenkins Experience with Linux/Unix
