About the Team:

The FIS team is made up of 50+ people. There is also a support team based in Manila who take care of patching, certificates, level 1 on call, user management as well as more complex system administration tasks.

General description:

The Software Engineer I \xe2\x80\x93 Java/Angular, will take part in the product\xe2\x80\x99s development with a particular focus on bringing quality in the whole development lifecycle of Cortex product. She/he has a deep understanding of the product by collaborating with the analyst and taking active part of the development and quality. She/he achieves development using test driven development and unit testing. She/he designs and improves the quality processes in the product pipeline via continuous integration. The Software Engineer I reports to the Tech Lead / Project Manager for the duration of the project. She/he can work mostly independently and has a good understanding of the product / project under focus, from an architectural, technical, and functional aspect.

Primary Skills:

Java 8/Java11, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Hibernate, Angular 8.x, Rest API,Swagger, JSON, Apache Tomcat, Eclipse IDE, Any WebServers (Tomcat, WebLogic etc), Oracle

What You Will Be Doing

• 6+ years of experience
• Experience in Angular based web frontend development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript)
• Exposure to Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment will be added advantage
• Knowledge in one of the cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Exposure to Python and Perl scripts.
• Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Exposure to JUnit
• Experience in payments software is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Take an active part to the product development (Java, Spring, Angular, RestAPI)
• Good understanding of the client expectation and ensure the product meets the client\xe2\x80\x99s expectations.
• Analyses, designs, programs, debug and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Proactively seeking challenges and get involved it for the better product improvement
• Place in the project organisation:
• Reports Directly to the Team Lead.
• Responsible for providing accurate status information, discussing risks faced during the project execution and inform the same Team to make the right decisions.
• Should be involved in all team meetings.

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
