Summary

The Software Engineer Level I will work closely with the Software Engineering team members to design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with developers and business users to define requirements, perform analysis of specifications and design, and implement robust, maintainable solutions and rules that meet the business requirements Design and develop web-based applications, including front-end, service, and database layers Participate in Agile/Scrum development process, and interact with team members across development and business units Participate in reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure that the software development standards are being adhered to Conduct unit and functional testing Handle production issues Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

In depth knowledge of OOP is required Experience with Node environment, JavaScript libraries, Python and relational databases Ability to learn new technologies as required by projects Strong communication skills and the ability to share ideas and work well in small teams Possesses excellent problem-solving capabilities Independent and self-motivated Computer Science or Engineering related major highly preferred 2+ years related experience preferred Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization Support and meet company/department goals and core values Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals Problem Solving/Analysis

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
