Job Description

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build and maintain scalable, cloud-native healthcare SaaS applications. This role is hands-on, focused on developing secure, high-performance services within distributed systems. The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack engineering skills, deep backend expertise, and an understanding of modern cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Develop clean, maintainable code for production SaaS applications using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript. Build and operate scalable microservices, APIs, and distributed system components. Implement integrations with healthcare systems (EMR/EHR, medical imaging, healthcare data standards). Work closely with Software Architects and senior engineers to execute technical designs and architectural plans. Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows. Diagnose and resolve production issues to support reliability and performance goals. Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related services). Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security best practices, and healthcare regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support teams throughout the development lifecycle. Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of professional software development experience with web applications. Strong programming skills in

Python

and

JavaScript/TypeScript

using modern frameworks. Proven experience designing and building

distributed systems

, microservices, and RESTful APIs. Hands-on experience with

AWS

services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.). Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases. Experience with

Docker

, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git). Solid understanding of software testing practices, including unit and integration testing. Experience with message queues or event-driven architectures (preferred). Familiarity with healthcare standards such as

FHIR, HL7, or DICOM

(preferred). Experience with authentication technologies (OAuth, SSO, LDAP) (preferred).
