As Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and unit testing across not only the suite of enterprise applications in the internal Anthology environment, but in customer-facing applications as well. Applications will include Java, Angular, and NodeJS.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Developing front end and backend applications
• Designing and developing APIs
• Performing peer review, checking code coverage to ensure the modularity and quality of the code and application
• Continually committing to team improvement
• Understanding and implementing security and data protection
• Developing broad and deep knowledge on existing software architecture
• Assisting with mentoring junior team members
• Collaborating in a cross-functional agile team to solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions
• Following best practices and methodologies including coding and testing to produce desired software on time with top-notch quality

The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• At least 4 years of experience in software web application development
• At least 4 years of experience in Java, Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate
• 2+ years of experience in NodeJS and Angular 2+
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL and MongoDB
• Self-motivated and self-directed abilities to prioritize and execute high-quality tasks in a high-pressure environment with time critical deadlines

Preferred skills/qualifications:

• Experience in Agile Scrum methodology
• Experience with GitHub and Continuous Integration using Jenkins

We have an office in one of the biggest cultural, economic, and educational centers in South India: Chennai.
