Position Purpose

Ability to implement changes requests within full spectrum of project technology (Java, Extjs, WTX Sybase) with emphasize on front end technologies. Share development best practices and leverage team skills and capabilities. Versatility in solution design Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Solution design, development, testing and bug-fixing
• Impact analysis of major changes to ensure compliance to existing architecture

and principles of the product

• Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, secure, scalable and cost-effective
• High level feasibility and estimates for any anticipated business need
• Support and scale up developers/analysts team
• Identify the technical debt in the product and drive continuous improvements on them
• Contemplate alternative technical orientations (Big Data, web services, API, ...)
• Participate in the quarterly application upgrades
• Production support

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Domain / Technical

• Knowledge and/or experience of the financial services industry is advisable
• Previous experiences in software development life cycle and Agile/iterative methodology. Project is currently undergoing full transition into Agile
• Prior exposure in offshore-onshore development/maintenance projects
• Ability to challenge existing designs and suggest alternative directions. Taste for innovation
• Exposure in design and development of Micro services architecture
• Good coverage on Query Optimizer Statistics, Transactions and Locking
• Optimizing Stored Procedure, DML operations and Joins
• Tuning BCP
• Good understanding of Oops and RDBMS concepts
• Technical competency in the following:
  • • Transact SQL (Sybase)
    • Hands on experience in Java Web technologies (spring MVC, Restful, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA)
    • Good experience in Core JAVA(oops, Exception handling, collections, poi)
    • UNIX (ksh scripting)
    • Proficiency in Sybase (T-SQL, performance tuning)
    • Knowledge of tools such as StarTeam (Configuration
• Management) and Quality Center - (Desirable) Hands -on experience in Ext-JS(version 5 or above) and JavaScript with MVC and MVVM architectures.
• Expert in developing using Sencha Architect 4
• SQL

Specific Qualifications (if required)

• Spring Boot(Micro services), Spring Data JPA, Maven, Design patterns
• Unix (Commandes standards et shell script) & WTX
• Agile Methodology (Scrum)
• Ext-JS (version 5 or above),, Java J2EE (Web Services)
• Websphere TX 8.4
• Knowledge in Selenium script, Jasper and J-meter are added advantage
