This dynamic team is the proud owner and continuous innovator of NXOS software, the sophisticated operating system that powers Cisco's advanced data center switches. Their commitment extends across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), engaging from initial requirements definition with product managers through to seamless deployment, integration, and ongoing support. This end-to-end involvement ensures deep collaboration and responsiveness to a diverse spectrum of global clients.



The team's strength lies in its profound technical expertise, spanning critical areas such as SAN platforms, Optics, Fibre Channel protocols, NVMe, and Cisco Nexus OS. They are consistently at the forefront of innovation, pioneering solutions that anticipate and meet futuristic market demands.



Your Impact



As a Software Engineer. Develop features for switches that are deployed by some of the top tier Data center customers in the world Part of development team, which is responsible for Feature development, testing& integration into customer environments. Expected to have regular interactions with SMEs in other area of development team, testing teams and customer teams to translate requirements into working solutions Develop expertise in Data center products and Storage/Networking protocols. Learn Cisco development/unit-test environments. Actively participate in issue triage, providing essential support, monitoring system performance, and driving timely resolutions. Work with a BU-wide vibrant technical community, learning from experts and translating this learning into exciting opportunities for personal growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 5 years to 8 years. Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/EC or technical equivalent. Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C Sound knowledge of operating system concepts and system programming on UNIX based systems Network and multithreaded programming

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to Storage protocol Exposure to Fiber channel standards Exposure to L2/L3 protocols Experience working with switch/router products Experience with Python
