Summary of the position

To assume responsibility for the provision of high-quality BI reporting solutions & SQL development support to the business as necessary in order to facilitate an improvement in the quality and speed of decision making.

Key accountabilities

To deliver BAU BI reporting to support the business, ensuring it is accurate and delivered within given deadlines To deliver new BI reporting requirements, along with any associated system and process changes as and when required, to a high standard and within given deadlines To ensure that the data used for BI reports, taken from the data warehouse and other information sources as appropriate, is accurate, liaising with other business functions when necessary To improve data and reporting processes where possible to streamline the tasks and minimise business continuity risks To provide support, documentation and training to other BI team members as and when required to ensure that overall BI deliverables are met To undertake ad-hoc analysis to provide support to the business as and when required

Skills and Experience | Essential

3+ years SQL and BI development experience SQL Server 2012/2008R2 (creating and implementing production databases, job scheduling) TSQL (queries, views, stored procedures, indexing/performance tuning) SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) - Project & Package deployment models Proficient with Microsoft Excel Experience of QlikView or QlikSense would be advantageous Experience of Microsoft BI components in Azure would be advantageous Experience of C# programming would be advantageous Able to operate in a fast paced commercially driven business environment - must be able to prioritise workloads effectively Stakeholder engagement - experience of managing multiple business areas and stakeholders (to senior management level) with the ability to capture and shape business requirements Excellent attention to detail, high levels of accuracy, able to think logically Displays high levels of initiative and a passion for BI

Skills and Experience | Desirable

MS SQL Server, Integration Services Experience of QlikView or QlikSense would be advantageous Reporting Services & SSAS - The multidimensional model Tabular model experience is a plus. Azure Databases, Azure Data warehouse & Azure Data factory knowledge is a big plus * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required
