As a Software Engineer 2, you will contribute to the development and evolution of healthcare integration and interoperability solutions. You will design and implement high-quality software while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable applications. This role emphasizes clean code, best practices, and iterative improvement, with opportunities to specialize in areas of the codebase while gaining exposure to multiple components. You will actively participate in design decisions, support peers, and help solve complex technical challenges that directly impact healthcare workflows and outcomes. Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve software solutions using Java/J2EE and related technologies.
• Participate in technical design decisions and provide implementation guidance.
• Focus on building expertise in one or more areas of the codebase while supporting other components as needed.
• Write clean, correct code following best practices and company standards.
• Communicate effectively about assumptions, requirements, and potential risks to minimize rework.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to peers and managers.
• Prioritize and complete complex tasks independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
• Ensure work aligns with broader project goals and contributes to overall software quality and functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development.
• Strong object-oriented design and programming skills in Java/J2EE.
• Proficiency in web standards, including XML, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and SQL (MySQL preferred).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive ownership of tasks.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to code quality, architecture, and documentation.
• Knowledge of Agile or iterative development processes is a plus.
• Experience using design patterns and software best practices is advantageous.
