A Snapshot of Your Day
Software Development Test Engineering (High Tech) focuses on developing software to test multiple types/categories of software including end-user applications and operating systems/utility software (which provides a platform for running end user applications for external customers. The work includes: Developing and directing the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, quality assurance plans, procedures, and schedules Planning and conducting software testing (including using programming languages to write code for use in testing the application/software code), performing analysis of test results, and tracking/reporting risk levels during test execution Performing regression and ad-hoc testing of software and components potentially affected by system changes Diagnosing software/hardware/data interface problems and ensuring system integration Specialization Match Note: Para-professional incumbents support the execution of planned test scripts; record the results and output; record, track and resolve any issues/defects.
How You'll Make an Impact

• Conduct in-depth analysis of software requirements to evaluate and enhance product testability from an automation perspective.
• Design comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices aligned with quality objectives.
• Architect, develop, and continuously improve automation frameworks, including step definitions, drivers, utilities, and custom libraries tailored to product needs.
• Provide strategic leadership to the automation testing team in reviews and tech debts, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality goals, and best practices.
• Build / Customize the automation framework / Step definitions / Drivers / Libraries.
• Execute the scripts / test cases for the different products.
• Oversee and execute automated test suites across multiple platforms and environments, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and early defect detection.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gain deep insights into product architecture, advocate for testability improvements, and drive continuous optimization of automation coverage and test effectiveness

What You Bring

• BE / B. Tech / MCA / ME / M. Tech in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering/ with an excellent academic track record
• Minimum 9+ years of experience in Automation testing & at least 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies & Behavior Driven Development
• Hands on extensive experience in developing and implementation of Test Automation, Test Plan, Test Strategy etc.
• Strong Database skills (MySQL & SQL server)
• ISTQB certification.
• Mastering in scripting languages (Ruby, PowerShell, Python) & BDD testing.
• Good understanding of test and defect tracking tools (defect logging tools, test management tools, versioning systems, statistical tools, performance monitoring tools, test automation tools etc.)
• Quick learner for new technologies with good analytical and problem-solving skills
