As a team member of this group, you would be responsible for owning the test automation development and execution of the next generation of routing & packet-optical products for the Service Provider & WebOTT segment. Product portfolio includes the NCS6K, NCS5K, NCS5.5K, ASR9K, CRS and Optical (NCS1K/2K/4K) that run on IOS-XR OS. Our products lead the service provider industry with most of the world's largest deployments, and we promise you the real world class experience with a world-class team. You will be working on hardware and software that will run the Internet for foreseeable future. Who You'll Work With The MIG has the charter for all Platform Independent and Platform Dependent software development across Switching (for all service provider), wireless, network services, routing, optical software and routing and cable access. This includes all the Operating Systems and network services for IOS-XR in Service Provider market segments. MIG is creating unprecedented customer value by providing cohesive and innovative software, platforms and solutions for Cisco's core networking customers. Who You Are MS/BS in EE/CS combined with 5 - 8 years industry experience. Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Python Good working knowledge on OS Concepts, BIOS, Hardware programming Experience with Linux, Kernel Programming and open-source technologies is a plus/highly desirable Strong knowledge in System Infrastructure, infra components, ASIC/Board FMEA, Forwarding Infrastructure and System Performance measurements Experience in test engineering concepts and methodologies including test planning, test case design, test execution and test automation Good working knowledge with traffic generators and analyzers (e.g. Agilent, Spirent, IXIA, Pagent etc) Prior exposure to virtualization technologies and hypervisors (KVM, Xen, VMWare) is a plus. Strong knowledge and testing skill in L2 and IP/MPLS forwarding technologies, IGP (OSPF, ISIS), BGP, L2 VPNs (VPWS, VPLS), MPLS (LDP, TE, FRR), LACP, BFD Able to work independently should be a good team player and able to mentor engineers. Strong Software Test engineering methodology and process knowledge. Understanding and Hands on experience on any standard test framework Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong communication and organizational skills We Are Cisco.
