As a Senior Manager of Software Development in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will build and lead a high-performing team delivering OCI's next-generation, native artifact service that replaces a legacy platform. This service underpins OCI's CI/CD ecosystem by securely storing, managing, and distributing artifacts at cloud scale. You will drive the roadmap, architecture, and operational excellence for a multi-tenant, highly available service that improves reliability, security, and developer productivity across OCI and our customers. You will partner closely with security, SRE, and other OCI service teams to ensure seamless integration, strong supply chain security, and a smooth migration from the legacy system.
Minimum qualifications:
4+ years leading engineering teams building and operating large-scale cloud services or platforms
Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Track record delivering production-grade systems with high availability, scalability, observability, and robust incident management
Hands-on experience with public cloud (OCI, AWS, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code; strong understanding of multi-tenant cloud architecture
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure fundamentals: networking, storage, IAM, security, container orchestration, and service mesh concepts
Expertise with modern software delivery practices and blending Agile/iterative methods with practical project management
Excellent communication skills and experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership
Preferred qualifications:
Experience leading large-scale platform migrations, deprecations, and customer adoption programs with minimal disruption
Experience designing or operating artifact repositories/registries and CI/CD ecosystems (e.g., OCI Registry, Artifactory, Nexus; Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, OCI DevOps)
Knowledge of software supply chain security: image/package signing (e.g., Sigstore/Cosign), SBOM (SPDX/CycloneDX), vulnerability scanning, and policy enforcement (e.g., OPA)
Background with container and package ecosystems and formats (OCI images, Helm, Maven, npm, PyPI) and related lifecycle features (retention, GC, provenance)
Strong understanding of distributed systems patterns: replication, caching, consistency/availability tradeoffs, disaster recovery, and multi-region operations
Strong understanding of distributed systems patterns: replication, caching, consistency/availability tradeoffs, disaster recovery, and multi-region operations
Proficiency in one or more languages common to cloud services (e.g., Go, Java, Python) and with service observability stacks
Hire, grow, and lead a high-performing engineering team delivering a critical OCI service
Own end-to-end architecture, delivery, and operation of a hyperscale artifact service
Define roadmap and milestones for replacing the legacy service, including migration tooling, deprecation plans, and customer readiness
Ensure security-by-design: strong IAM integration, encryption, signing/verification, policy controls, and vulnerability scanning
Establish robust reliability and observability practices (SLOs/SLA, alerting, incident response, postmortems)
Collaborate across OCI to integrate with CI/CD, DevOps and enable platform use cases at scale
Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and release engineering; champion continuous improvement and automation
Set goals and expectations for team and individual performance, work with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.
