Senior Development Manager - Safety One Products (Oracle, India)

Oracle is seeking an accomplished and inspiring Senior Development Manager to lead the Safety One product development team in India. This senior leadership position plays a critical role in delivering innovative, high-quality cloud-based safety solutions while ensuring delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and technical integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing development team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment. Ensure the team delivers high-quality releases on schedule by driving effective planning, monitoring progress, and proactively addressing risks or challenges. Maintain and enforce best practices in software development, quality assurance, and release management across the team. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders to align technical initiatives with strategic business objectives. Oversee the full product lifecycle--including architecture, design, development, deployment, and post-release support--ensuring adherence to Oracle's development standards and processes. Foster a culture of continuous improvement that emphasizes accountability, innovation, and best-in-class engineering practices. Champion diversity, inclusion, and professional development opportunities within the team.
Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of total experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a people management or technical leadership capacity. Demonstrated success leading development teams in delivering complex, high-quality software products on time. Working knowledge of enterprise application development, preferably using Java and modern web technologies. Experience overseeing software development projects using cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar technologies. Strong focus on setting expectations, monitoring quality, and driving adherence to established development standards and best practices. Proven organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across global teams. Commitment to fostering a high-performance, inclusive team culture.
