. In this role, you will oversee the development of services that discover, classify, and protect sensitive healthcare data, critical to meeting the security and regulatory needs of one of Oracle's most vital business units.
This is a greenfield opportunity where you'll be responsible for growing a new team, setting the technical and strategic direction, and delivering scalable, secure microservices that integrate with OCI's broader Identity and Security platform. The services you build will play a foundational role in improving Oracle Health's ability to monitor data, enforce access controls, and restrict sensitive data transfers ,directly contributing to compliance initiatives and the security roadmap.
You'll work cross-functionally with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams across OCI to deliver services that ensure Oracle Health's environments remain secure, auditable, and trustworthy.
Required Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience managing high-performance software engineering teams
8+ years of experience developing and operating scalable distributed systems
Deep understanding of secure service design, microservices architecture, and system observability
Experience with identity, access management, or compliance platforms
Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and database fundamentals
Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Hands-on experience with production services and on-call responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building services in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, infra security)
Background in data governance, data loss prevention, or database discovery/classification
Knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure)
Experience leading service development
Experience working across geographically distributed teams
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD best practices
