Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. You will be responsible for owning services and would need to build a strong team of SDE who can enhance the service and maintain the quality and handle escalations when necessary to support production support engineers. You will be responsible to collaborate with other leaders to make the service metrics wrt availability etc top notch by using your techno managerial skills.
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
- Service Accountability \xe2\x80\x93 You will lead a team whose mission is to build compute infrastructure that is highly performant, scalable and reliable
- Operations Engineering \xe2\x80\x93 Understanding service metrics KPI, alarms, logging and system health
- Technical expertise \xe2\x80\x93 You will have a deep understanding of the service and its dependencies to be able to drive troubleshooting of issues and feature enhancements for the service
- Hands on experience and ability to drive architecture discussions and oversee design and development of features
- Resolving customer issues and escalation handling
- Hiring top talent and creating a an engaging work environment for engineers to thrive and display Can do attitude
- Experience in mentoring and building a high performing team
- Prior experience in talent management with multiple cycles of performance management / promotions and hiring top talent
